STORY



Once uppon a time in a peacefull village hidden somewhere in the "eastern" Europe. Quiet and kind local martial arts fan goes for a walk. Two street bums don't like him, and want to disgrace and make fun of him. Unfortunatelly this was their last stupid idea. Unfortunately for all of them...

This is my first "film" I made 9 years ago in October 2000. I was cameraman, director, stunt coordinator and main actor at the same time, uff - HAHA :-D







I first touched what does it mean to edit something, and it was really very hard! Why? It was shot by old VHS-c analog camera and edited using the camera as a player and videorecorder (SVHS) as an editing machine! No computers, no digital, terrible quality, 1000 tries to match the frames, no idea how to do it... Hard but so sweet times...





Two years later, I had a very bad injury of my left ankle, so I had to quit with martial arts for 5 years and this is why I got to mountain and adventurous movies.



But the vision and the dreams did not change at all, so BERNARTWOOD, joke from my first movie, remained...

Amee and I set up the "Alpine Wonderlands" exhibition in the Max Bell building at the Banff Centre yesterday. We are so psyched about the new system for displaying the art: grommets in the canvas, old carbiners clipped to the grommets then cord extending to the ceiling. It is environmentally friendly and adds to my style of art. Also the space is huge, so this is the best representation of my work to date. It will be great to share these alpine scrolls for a like-minded, adventure-hungry crowd!

The opening is on Friday from 4-5 with sketchbooks and creation videos from the field to check out!

Here is the 4th episode of our "Sweet Lines" serie.
After bouldering, hilghlining and Dry tooling lines, the Je Ne Sais Quoi climbing team features an Ice Climbing spot.
No frozen ice falls here in Chamonix yet, but we have found a very esthetical 90 feet glacier meal for some pre season ice climbing training. Enjoy !

Jelena is leading the fine art of rigging a highline on that day and she is successfully sending it...with style.
Julien, as always, is pushing the limits of balance. Thanks to Raph and Guillaume for climbing and rigging.
Seb is having fun filming and slacking as always.

Peter and Guillaume present you a cliff called LE COUTERAY.
Small but interesting overhanging gneiss rock spot. 15 mn driving from Chamonix up the valley
One superbe Off width was first climbed in the 90's by famous american climber Craig Luebben who rated it 5.12 b/c only !
He commented that it was one of the most beautifull Off width he ever climbed and was so dispointed when he came back a few years later and realized locals had bolted it. It is now rated 5.13 b/c....
in this video, Pete climbs a neighbour no named line, rated 5.12b.

Here is the 7th episode of my "Sweet Lines" serie.
Julien Millot highlining a new line intalled by Seb Montaz-Rosset in his local favorite bouldering spot of Médonnet near Saint Gervais, french Alps.

A 17 meters interesting line linking two boulders that will be a perfect training spot to improve our slack technique.
I dedicate this edit to our friend Raph Lagrange operated this week and wishing him a quick recovery to ride this line with us in the near future.
