In March 2012 Belarus climber Sergei Shaferov established a series of sport climbs at Okuzini in Turkey, the most difficult being All inclusive 8c/c+.
Turkey is increasingly becoming an important climbing destination just waiting to be discovered for climbers from all over Europe. The talented climber Sergei Shaferov from Belarus who in March, after discovering that many routes were wet at the famous Geyikbari climbing area, travelled southeast to nearby Okuzini where he flashed Colomania 8a and freed six routes.
"Okuzini is a gorge close to Geyikbairi" Shaferov explained to planetmountain "and climbers are attracted above all the large cave which is reached by walking uphill for 1 hour. This is a great warm-up for the circa 30 routes which, apart from a few easy routes (5c-6a) are mainly harder than 7b, or still projects. But those who make the effort will be rewarded by excellent climbing and wonderful views in a really tranquil setting."
